Despite all the things I should have been doing, I spent the evening helping Cassidy purge all the junk from her bedroom so that she'd be ready for the arrival of her new loft bed next weekend.
April 10:
Chris cleaned up the grill and made some fantastic pork tenderloin, while the girls and I tossed a frisbee back and forth. I've been looking forward to afternoons like this.
April 11:
I think she was surprised to look back at some of the things she made in preschool and see just how much she's grown and improved and learned. Sometimes she gets frustrated with school, but I think she's getting to the age where the perspective is changing.
April 12:
It's back to work after a week of being off, and the schedule is relentless this week. I can already feel the need for a nap before even setting foot inside the building.
April 13:
Tonight's track meet was a success; I think she's beginning to find her niche in this sport. The medal for first place in the 4x800 relay helped.
April 14:
One of the most successful campus visits I've arranged -- I love being able to provide them with such a wide array of authentic activities while they are here.
April 15:
I am (im)patiently waiting for the Farmer's Market to open for the season, not only for fresh fruit and veg, but also for flowers, homemade bread, granola, and more. It's one of my favorite Saturday morning activities.
I'm also waiting (im)patiently for the damn Farmer's Market! It's been so warm here I keep hoping they'll open early. I might just run past there this Saturday morning to see if any early birds are out there with lettuces and such.
