February 12:

After a week away and another weekend trip looming, I was willing to let life pile up and just enjoy the opening ceremonies from a corner of the couch, piled between my two girlies.
February 13:
A mandatory work trip for me turned into a tiny adventure for her, with a hotel stay, a trolley ride, and even an outdoor concert for Mardi Gras.
February 14:
A glimpse of this sweet face, which I adore more than words can say, through a curtain of dark hair. She's become so teen lately, but I'm enjoying these new changes.
February 15:
A snow day -- something of a regular occurrence around here lately. The makings for taco soup on the stove and some serious work on the dishes and laundry. It felt good to be domestic, to put our lives back in order in this way, after so much time away.
February 16:
A random trip to the bookstore/coffee shop after gymnastics saw us leaving with a box of free donuts. They were just going to throw them away, they said, so we enjoyed them as an evening snack and for breakfast the next morning too.
February 17:
Snow. I love it. I keep saying that I would like to live somewhere, for just one year, where they get snow on a weekly or almost daily basis. I just want to experience what life is like when the ground is always white.
February 18:
Today was a good mail day. A book swap with a friend, and an Advance Reading Copy of a forthcoming novel by one of my new favorite authors.
