Western Kentucky got a little bit of snow this past week, like much of the country it seems (although some places got quite a bit more than a little bit!) To help you scrap those snow days, here's a new kit from me: Winterberry! It's modern and graphic, with a touch of texture and a color scheme that I just love, AND it's 30% off for the next 24 hours! That applies to all new releases, so check them out!
The kit features 8 patterned paper and 25 elements; you can also purchase those as separate pieces. In addition, you can also purchase a coordinating solid paper pack, a set of 6 word art quotes, an acrylic alphabet, and a winter-themed paper piecing pack.
The Design House Decorators had a chance to play with these new products, and I'm so pleased with their layouts. Take a peek, and leave them some praise in the comments (our gallery is coming soon, promise!)
from Jennifer: I love the layered title with paper piecings behind it, and the cool blues and grays with that punch of royal blue pulled from her photos.
from Missy: You'd think that I'd pulled my colors directly from Missy's photos; I love how well they match. The busy papers along the edge, anchored with stitching, are a great touch -- and that's a great way to incorporate a really large pattern onto a layout that features several photos and other elements without overpowering anything.
from Heather: Isn't that photo gorgeous? Love how she made it her focal point and used several colors of the solid papers to back it. See the word art over the photo? What a great idea -- just adjust the blending mode until you get the look you want. (Notice the date on one of the clumps of snow? Genius!)
from Katherine: I love that Kat used my Five Things template -- she put a fun spin on it by scrapping a series of photos. Her journaling is great too -- it's a fun little "fairy tale." Changing the way you approach your journaling can really get you out of rut.
from Lisa: Lisa doesn't get much (read: ANY) snow where she lives, but that didn't stop her from putting this winter-themed kit to great use for her layout!
from Tiffany: another great layout using the paper piecings. I really enjoy the look of these little bits, and they are a lot of fun to make too!
I also put together a few templates in the 8.5x11 for all you rectangle scrappers out there (when I was a paper scrapper, that was my preferred size, but I like 12x12 for digital -- strange, huh?) You can buy the templates separately, or save some cash and purchase the collection:
