Participation in the Letters & Words challenges has gotten off to a slow start, but I'm hoping that you'll spread the word and submit your layout this week. I want to say thanks to Gennifer and Melissa for participating last week and share their layouts with you in case you didn't get a chance to see them:
Both layouts look great; I love how both scrappers were able to add interest to their layouts just by varying the weight and size of their font -- what an easy (and often overlooked) tool to use! Thanks again to Shannon, Jen, and Lisa for their sample layouts last week too!
Have you heard of Wordle? It's a really fun application that takes text you input (or it can pull it automatically from your blog entries) and creates a word collage from it. You can change the fonts, colors, sizes, etc. and the end result is so unique and amazing. This week, our challenge is simple: create your own font collage. You can use Wordle as inspiration -- not to mention all the incredible word art currently available (I've even experimented a bit...) Here's how a few of my favorite scrappers chose to interpret this week's challenge:
Font: Mail Ray Stuff
Fantastical papers by Sherrie Piegdon @ Pixel Gypsy Designs
Yogic Wonder papers by Alicia Murphy @ Pixel Gypsy Designs
Frogurt papers by Ami Collofello @ Pixel Gypsy Designs
Kelly
removed for publication
Storytellers Essentials Papers by Kathryn Wilson
Artist's Canvas by Two Sisters Designs
journaling font- Pea sdflenner
So how do you play along this week? Easy -- just follow these three simple steps.
1. Create a layout with a word collage on it. (There's no right or wrong way to do this -- just go with what your gut tells you!)
2. Post the layout to your blog or favorite gallery.
3. Leave a link to your layout in the comments on this post.
*Bonus: Tell someone else about the challenge and get them involved too!
Please have your layout links posted by midnight EST, Friday, June 19th.

Wordle sounds very cool, I need to check it out. And I love this challenge, it is a tough one but I am going to try and pull something together.
