Today is the last day for the Letters & Words challenge #2; get your layouts posted and linked!
================================================================================
Yep, it's definitely good to be home. I left last Saturday the first of four different events for work. Saturday and Sunday were spent at Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, with a quick drive through Berea during my downtime. Then I headed to Lexington on Sunday evening for the Ky Girls STEM Collaborative conference and a teacher's workshop. Wednesday saw me on my way from Lexington to Frankfort for a staff meeting at the Berry Hill Mansion, which was really nice. I ended up driving 800 miles over 5 days.
So while I got to check out some new-to-me places (more pics coming in the next day or two), it was nice to come home to my girlies. Chris is still in Wisconsin for printer training -- he'll be home tomorrow night.
This little girlie (don't you love those faces? I think #6 is my favorite!) especially was glad to have us home. She's big on keeping her routines and having her family with her at home; she's a total homebody and would much rather be home than be anywhere else.
She and I hung out at Sonic and then played at the park this evening while Cass was at Vacation Bible School with a friend. We had a great time, snacking, swinging, sliding, and shadow dancing.
(all photos taken with my iPhone, using the QuadCamera app, which is really similar to a lomo effect)
I've got lots of stuff I want to share with you over the next couple of days -- more book reviews, my photos from Pleasant Hill Shaker village, music recommendations and photos -- so make sure you check back often. Better yet, subscribe to my RSS feed so you'll know when I update. :)
Love the photos!

Love the mosaics! You were so close to me, I'm only about an hour from Lexington. Come back!

I can't even imagine being for so long away from my little ones. It is awesome that you two had a special time after you came home.
Those photos are so fun, Aud. I LOVE those from shadows!
Have a wonderful family weekend!
xxx,
G.

mmmm... Sonic. We have been on a long Sonic fast, as they are in Missouri where my outlaws live, and in Colorado (on every corner), but not in Arlington or DC. I had hopes for them here, but ND seems to be a land of the Dairy Queen ;)
Love the photos! I need to get more creative on that front...
