This week's challenge is brought to you by Kerry:
The Art of Racing in the Rain
By Garth Stein
Surprise
surprise, the book I chose for this challenge is Garth Stein’s The Art
of Racing in the Rain. This has been by far one of my favourite books
in the last year. The story itself is told from the perspective of Enzo the family dog. His observations and experiences throughout the story made me laugh, cry and kept me reading late into the night. The
story is actually about Enzo’s master Denny and all the trials and
tribulations he goes through during Enzo’s life span. It is so sweet
and I promise that it will make you look at your family pet with a
whole new set of eyes.
1. Create a Layout using the colors from the book cover.
2. Journal about an event or a day in the life from your pet’s perspective.
3. Do
you ever wonder what stories might be told if animals or treasured
objects in your life could talk. Give them words. Journal their story
as if they were telling it themselves.
4. Design a layout using a photo from a unique perspective.
5. Sometimes
the very things that are stumbling blocks or tragedies reveal our inner
values. Journal about a time that your inner value were revealed.
6. In
the book Denny has a unique job which he excels at that shapes his
philosophy on life. Is there someone in your life that has a unique job
or hobby? Create a page about how this job or hobby has shaped their
life.
Here's what our team came up with.

To participate, just create any paper-crafted item -- a layout
(digital, hybrid, or traditional), a card, an altered item, or home
decor item using the challenge above. Post a link to
your project in the credits, and make sure to share any thoughts about
the novel as well. We'll have a new challenge up on August 23, 2010.
Thanks for playing along!
