Today has been a wonderfully low-key day. Chris got up and went to Paducah to do some last-minute shopping, while the girls and I were lazy. Okay, Cass and I were lazy (like almost-noon-lazy) while Cami was up with the sun, I think, and spent the morning making Christmas cards for the family and watching cartoons. Once Cass and I woke up, we spent the rest of the afternoon doing some baking -- mostly Oreo truffles and cake balls (strawberry/strawberry with both chocolate and white coating).
While I was waiting for different things to chill in the freezer, I did some browsing on Flickr and came across these amazing fake tilt-shift photographs; they create the effect of a miniature model landscape, and after some hunting around, I came across a great tutorial on the web. So I *had* to try them out. I am absolutely in love with this effect -- I think it is so fun and unique. Since I really enjoy taking travel photos, I think this is something that I'll definitely have to try out each time I visit a new place. Here are a few I created, using some photos from a variety of places.
