Two of my most favorite blog projects are habit and 3191; both focus on documenting life through photographs. They've inspired me to create my own mini-project, and I'd love all of you to participate as well.
As I've mentioned a couple of times, Chris and I will be visiting San Francisco next week (July 17-23). This is standing in as an early anniversary trip for us; after my first visit, I told him that I wanted to go back for our 10th anniversary. A work conference presented us with the opportunity nine months early, so we took advantage of it.
Of course, I plan on taking several hundred photos (that's not an exaggeration, sadly), but I also wanted an easier way to document the trip and share each day's events with all of you. That's how Project 3:11 was formed.
Each day, at 3:11, I will take a photo of whatever it is I'm doing, or where I am, or what I can see. Then I'll post the photo and a few brief sentences each evening on my blog. (I chose 3:11, because our anniversary is March 11th). This project will run for the 6 days that we're in San Francisco.
I would love it if you all would play along. I've created a Flickr group where we can all post our photos. In addition to adding your photos to the Flickr group, I'd love it if everyone who participates create a blog entry each day with your photo and then link them to my post each day.
Feel free to grab the banner from the top of this post and spread the word on your own blog. If you are interested in playing along, leave a comment here and let me know, please.
