July is without doubt the busiest month of our summer -- of course, it doesn't help that "summer" is almost over here, too. We spent the weekend prior to the 4th of July in Memphis with family. The girls stayed down there for that entire week, but Chris and I came back to Murray for work. Then, on the weekend of the 4th, we headed to Gigi's house for more family celebrating. The girls are still there; I'm heading down to pick them up this afternoon. The rest of July is spent juggling soccer camp and JV team tryouts, pool visits and some field trips for Cami's L.A.S.E.R. group, and a big trip to San Francisco for me and Chris.
We spent a lot of time during the past two weeks watching this little guy play and eat and sleep and laugh and yell and clap and just generally soaking up all the baby Oliver yumminess we could get our hands on -- like this:
The cousins spent as much time together as possible; Cami and Kendall were pretty much inseparable. They are just a year apart in age, and only about an inch apart in size -- they really are like two peas in a pod:
Connor stuck to Cass all week long as well -- not only would she carry him around, but she made a pretty good Nintendo DS dueling partner too:
Of course, visits with Grandmom and Grandad usually involve fishing now, which the kids just love:
Okay, so most of the kids enjoy the fishing -- but I think Cami prefers the worms:
We came home to a mess, though; while we were gone, a microburst hit our area and ripped down a few tree limbs and knocked over our corn. This is the second storm of this nature to hit our town during the past two weeks. During the first one, Chris and I were at the movies; about halfway through, they shut the film off and evacuated us to the middle of the building. Turns out that several buildings around the theater lost their roofs; we had some hail damage on the car. It tore down the fence around the tennis courts, knocked out a section of one of the dorm walls, busted the windows out of cars, and ripped up some really large trees. Both storms apparently made their way right through the center of town. Normally weather like this seems to go around our area -- some weird fluke -- but recently that's not been the case at all. A little scary, but mostly just a pain in the butt to clean up.
One last thing: as I mentioned above, Chris and I are going to San Francisco in mid-July. I've been once, but he's never been. There are some "favorite spots" that I plan on taking Chris to, but other than that, we're just going to roam and wander and enjoy spending time together. I really want to do some traveling outside of SF this time, so I've been thinking about an afternoon trip to Berkley and a day trip to Muir Woods and Point Reyes. If you've been to these areas, do you have any tips or places we should visit?

Great pics!!!
