W.O.R.D.
When I joined deann and the rest of the girls at {we are} storytellers, I did it out of a very strong belief in the philosophy behind their store and their products -- that our stories are the core of the scrapbooking pages that we make, and that telling these stories, through a combination of pictures and words, is one of the most important things we can do. As a designer, I work to create products that can be used to facilitate this type of writing -- and more important than that is sharing my knowledge about writing, which comes from years spent as an English teacher, a writer, and a lover of language.
I do not claim to be the best writer, nor do I claim to know everything about journaling and writing techniques. But I have discovered tips and tricks that work for me personally, that worked for my students, and that I think will work for others -- and I want to share them. More than anything, though, I want to encourage you to make writing -- in some form or another -- a part of your daily life. A way for you to observe and reflect on the minute details of your life each day, to pause and appreciate everything you have and everything you don't have. It's my belief that creating this mindset, this habit, of appreciating and recognizing everyday moments goes a long way toward creating a simpler, more content lifestyle, and that's something I think everyone can benefit from.
That's why I designed my W.O.R.D. 2009 project. I thought it would be great to gather daily prompts for each month, each complete with a theme and a key word, in one spot (along with photo prompts and layout sketches), in a format that makes them simple to print, holepunch, and slip into a binder. There's no need for fancy paper or trimming or cutting or anything. Everything is right there on the PDF file -- just print it out and then each day, flip to a new page, read the prompt and spend some time writing.
I believe that the project is a great deal. And now that deal has gotten even sweeter. Each month you can purchase my W.O.R.D. projects monthly for $15.00. Well, for April only (because this offer disappears after April is over), you can get a subscription to May through December (that's 8 months of daily journaling prompts, plus 8 full digital kits) for just $70.00.
Like the ad states, there's a great bonus to this sale -- make your purchase by April 7th at midnight EST and you could win my April releases for free! That's a minimum of three products a week, for four weeks! Pick up the April 2009 kit while you're at it, and I'll throw in the Flight of Fancy word art pack for free. Right now is a perfect time to make a commitment to more journaling on your layouts, and the W.O.R.D. project is a great tool to get you started. Your stories deserve to be told. Let me help.
