As if the HUGE sale we just wrapped up at {we are} storytellers wasn't enough, I've got TEN -- that's right, 10! -- new products to show off today! Plus, I've got samples from my creative team and the {wst} team that are guaranteed to knock your socks off! So hang on -- and be warned, this is definitely an image-heavy post!
It's time for the May installment of my W.O.R.D. 2009 project.
This month, we're celebrating the connections we share with friends; there are 4 great layout sketches, 5 photo assignments, and 22 journaling prompts and quotes, plus my gorgeous new kit for May: the appropriately named "Maybell!"
My CTs had a great time working with this kit; check out their AMAZING layouts!
To coordinate with this sweet kit (I'm in love with this color scheme -- it's my new favorite!), I created a set of embellished quotes with a "Friendship" theme.
I had so much fun making these cute little Thumbprint Birdies -- and they coordinate beautifully with the Express Yourself papers and embellished quotes.
For all you rectangle scrappers out there, I've got a new set of templates just for you: 8.5x11 Letter Layouts. There are 5 different designs; you can purchase them as a bundle, or you can purchase them invidually (vol. 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5).
Lastly, if you missed the contest at Simple Scrapper, I've added the Just Be You Add-on (which includes a great 12x12 template) and coordinates beautifully with the Just Be You kit to my shop.
If you've made it this far, thanks so much for stopping by today. If you see these layouts by any of my CT members in the galleries, make sure you stop in and tell them what a great job they've done!

Just a reminder that today (4/27) is the LAST DAY for our huge pre-NSD sale at {we are} storytellers! If you've been eyeballing some of my products, this is a perfect chance to grab them at this reduced price, but you have to hurry; the sale ends tonight at midnight {EST}. Remember, spend $10.00 and get this fantastic collab kit, "Picnic in the Park."
Need more ideas on how to spend $10? Let me see if I can help. How about this combination?
Little Fishies paper pack + School Daze Alphabet + Twill Ribbons + Little Fishies Digital Kit + Snips and Snails Word Art + Journaling Jotters vol 5 = $10.00
Or you could try this one:
Everyday Celebrations + Defining {you} Class + Everyday Frames + Distressed Alphabet = $10.00
Or how about this one?
Birdy Bundle font collection + Butterfly Fancy digital kit + Flight of Fancy word art + Framed Quotes = $10.00
And don't forget, this is your VERY LAST CHANCE to get the May-December subscription to my W.O.R.D. 2009 journaling project. If you're looking for great layout topics, writing prompts, sketches, and more, this is the project for you. For just $35.00, you'll get 8 full digital kits, 300 journaling and photo prompts, and 30 layout sketches, delivered straight to you via email each month. That's a deal you just can't turn down! Plus, it's a savings of over $85.00 when you compare it to purchasing each month individually.

We've packed our weekend full of all sorts of things that NEED to be done, this weekend, like taking the plastic recyclables over to the collection point, filling in our garden plot with soil and compost and then getting our seeds sown, catching up on laundry and dishes, making sure the girls get their rooms cleaned this weekend, going out for ice cream at Dairy Queen, checking out some movies from the library, and finishing up some new products for the shop.
Whew...I'm worn out just thinking about it all.
What's on your to-do list for the weekend?

I think Etsy is one of the greatest places on the internet. I love being able to find incredible handmade goods -- I like knowing that my money is supporting someone who truly loves what they do and appreciates the creative process. With the weekend fast approaching (and lots of time in my garden on the agenda), I thought I'd share some of my favorite Etsy items with you. Some of these have sold, but I still keep them in my favorites, because I think they are just gorgeous. I'd love it if you'd leave me a link to your favorite Etsy shops and sellers in the comments -- I'm always looking for new goodies to add to my "want it want it want it" list.

{we are} storytellers is gearing up for National Scrapbooking Day, and we're offering you everything in our store* (see fine print for details) for 50% off. That's right, 50% OFF! What a deal! Not only that, but if you fill your cart with $10.00 worth of purchases, we'll automatically give you our newest {wst} designer collaboration, "Picnic in the Park," for FREE. This kit is huge -- it features 37 papers, 50 elements, 2 alphas, 2 templates, and a set of journaling prompts too!
There are so many great ways to combine these papers and elements, templates, alphas, and journaling prompts -- take a look at what our talented creative team came up with!
Here's a closer look at my layout; I made it with one of my templates that comes with the the kit. If you like templates, make sure you check out my shop -- everything is 50% off, so that's a great deal!
I just had to take a second and spotlight this layout by one of our CT members, Laura -- I just love this whole layout, especially my Abundance word art layered over that gorgeous photo.
There are so many great looks you can get with this kit -- and it's yours FREE with a $10.00 purchase. Want some ideas on how to spend that $10.00? How about trying one of my self-paced journaling classes? Packed with writing tips and lessons, journaling prompts, templates and sketches, plus loads of other great information, these classes offer scrappers of every level great new ways to get your stories told! And right now, they're 1/2 price -- that's just $5.00! Less than the cost of most digital kits on the market! If you aren't sure if these classes are for you, check out Lori's post; she took my class before she ever joined our CT, so she's not biased, and her opinion is one I truly value.
This week is your final week to purchase a May-December subscription to my W.O.R.D. 2009 project. This subscription gives you 8 full digital kits, 300 journaling and photo prompts, and 30 layout sketches, delivered straight to you via email each month. All this -- and it only costs you $35.00! You save $85.00 off the monthly price when you make this purchase up front. May will be out in just a few days, and I know you are going to LOVE it! Our theme for May is 'friendship;" over the course of the remainder of the year, we'll also cover faith, travel, education, politics, hobbies, charity, and holidays. The prompts for each month all deal with that theme, and we have a word that we spotlight each month as well. If you are looking for ways to get more of yourself in your scrapbooks, this is a great way to do it. And if you have trouble keeping up with something on a daily basis, just pull from it in bits and pieces -- there's no rule that says you have to do it just like it's presented! Make it work for you.
Not up for the full subscription? You can still get January, February, March, and April in the shop.
In other news, I'm heading out for an overnight work trip this afternoon; I'm pretty sure my hotel will have wireless, but if not, I'll see you all on Friday evening. Have a great day!

(Wow -- I've been AMAZED and THRILLED by all the traffic around here the past couple of days. I can only hope that y'all will stick around. There are great things coming, I promise, and I truly enjoy getting to know you all through your comments and following you back to your own little corners of the web.)
I've been spending a lot of time over the past year with GREEN on my mind. Becoming more aware of the impact I have and working to make that imprint as light as possible is something that I think is one of the most important changes I can make. And what I'm finding is that, by slowing down and leading an intentional life, I am enjoying my life and the simple things in it so much more. Part of this learning process for me has, naturally, involved a number of books. Here are some that I've read over the past year, along with my Goodreads ranking and link; I encourage you to check them out from your library or add them to your personal collection.
Second Nature: A Gardener's Education
Michael Pollen (***)
Last Child in the Woods: Saving our Children from Nature-Deficit Disorder
Richard Louv (****)
Made From Scratch: Discovering the Pleasures of a Handmade Life
Jenna Woginrich (****)
Voluntary Simplicity, Revised Edition: Toward a Way of Life That Is Outwardly Simple, Inwardly Rich
Duane Elgin (***)
On Good Land: The Autobiography of an Urban Farm
Michael Ableman (***)
This Organic Life: Confessions of a Suburban Homesteader
Joan Dye Gussow (***)
Animal, Vegetable, Miracle: A Year of Food Life
Barbara Kingsolver (*****)
Serve God, Save the Planet: A Christian Call to Action

There's so much "NEW" going on around here -- Chris's new job, the new garden in our backyard, my new products at {wst}, my new creative team, and lots of new ideas -- for work and for play!
First of all, let me welcome my new creative team members -- I'm so excited to be working with these ladies (plus some additional guest members that I'll announce soon!) Not everyone is up on the CT page, but you can visit with the ones I've listed so far; just make sure to check back soon when everyone is settled. These ladies are going to be helping me bring some great new information to the blog in the upcoming months; I hope you'll join us to see what's going on. Whether you scrapbook or not, I truly believe you'll still enjoy what we have to offer.
It's been a busy week, so I've only got a couple of products in the store today; still, they're 25% for the next 48 hours, so make sure you grab them both while the price is discounted.

this guy:
starts a new job today, here at the university in the IT department. I love that we are both working with Murray State now -- it's something we've been wanting to happen for a long time, and things just worked out recently that made it possible. I've learned that, if you can just be patient enough, and have hope and faith, that things will normally work out the way you want them to -- even if the ways and means aren't necessarily what you were hoping for originally. Life has a way of showing you that what you want is still possible, even if the path and the methods are different.
I know some of you are probably stopping in, hoping to find out about my CT call. I'll be making that announcement tomorrow. Right now, I have a million emails to send for work, plus a couple of big projects to finish up. The next three weeks are going to be very busy with work, so bear with me.
Have a great Monday!

I will be lying low this weekend in terms of internet activity. I have some projects to finish for my classes that I'm taking, and the house needs a good cleaning, plus there's still more ground to clear in the garden project, so I'm going to be out and taking advantage of the sunlight, cool breezes and open windows going on this weekend...I hope that you all enjoy your weekends, whatever you may be doing, and I'll see you on Monday with a list of my new CT members and some other fun stuff.
