1. I'm loving fresh flowers. I grab a new bouquet each week at the grocery store. They just add so much color and life to the living room -- love having them in our home. Chris bought sunflowers for me for our anniversary, and these tulips were my most recent purchase.
2. I am so inconsistent when it comes to decorating and choosing a "style." Our bedroom, for example, will never be finished, I fear. I just bought a new quilt today -- it was on sale (I'm talking DRASTICALLY reduced in price) and it just was so happy and cheerful that I had to grab it. But it doesn't match anything in our bedroom.
3. Speaking of bedrooms, we switched rooms with Cami because we needed the larger room. It took a bit of arranging to get all of her stuff to fit into the smaller room, but she's happy with it. Especially her little folding table and chair, a hand-me-down from when her daddy was little.
4. Today is the Book Fair at {we are} storytellers. Grab my Git R Done kit and my Distressed Alpha for 45% off, just for today only.
5. Spring is here, and I'm ready to go camping. I went to Nashville today, which meant driving through the Land Between the Lakes area. The trees are budding, and I just love the bits of color I'm seeing. Every day is something new.
6. Soccer season is finished, and Cass has decided not to run track. I think she's just ready for a break. She's been such a busy kid this year -- band, cross-country, academic team and quick recall, soccer, Junior Beta club, plus church activities and tons of hobbies and interests at home. It'll be nice to spend those afternoons and evenings riding bikes or working in the yard or making some craft projects together.
7. Speaking of crafts (see how these are all related?), here's a quick little canvas bag I made for one of Cassidy's friends for her birthday. These are so fun and easy to do...I'm considering starting an Etsy shop and selling these, in addition to other things.
8. I love visiting the used bookstore -- especially when I have store credit. Here was the haul for today -- and I've still got six bucks left to spend.
9. The girls are on Spring Break and visiting their grandparents in Memphis. I miss them, especially when I see little glimpses of them around the house like this:
(Cami loves these little zoo animals -- I find them in all sorts of places around the house. They always make me smile.)
10. Remember, my W.O.R.D. 2009 project is on sale right now -- with lots of little extras thrown in. If you need a daily jumpstart to get you writing, or just want a way to reflect on and scrap about important parts of your life, this is a great way to do it.
Seriously fun kit! And that quilt really makes me happy too, LOVE the bright colors!
